Down to the marina we go.  It is charming and there are people everywhere.  We stop at the first restaurant to get our bearings and it just so happens to be of all places, a yacht club,  Terry is in his element,  all except for the language barrier, the fact that this  is a sailing yacht club, but a club none the less.  We enjoy a bowl of tasty risotto smothered with cheese and fresh basil,  a cold beer. No judging, remember the weather is hot and we are on vacation. One thing we've wanted to do is take some sort of boat ride on the lake so we choose a ferry ride across to Bergenz, Austria.  It's only a 22 minute crossing but we always enjoy being on the water, even if's ever so brief.  Plus it's a nice warm sunny day, we can't go wrong. We make the trip and arrive over in Austria a short time later.  (we're in AUSTRIA, how cool, is that) We walk aimlessly enjoying the subtle differences between the countries and enjoy walking the harbor,  We finally find the Pfander, otherwise known as the tram.  We quickly purchase our tickets and arrive at the top a short time later. The views were stunning, to the south, imperial valleys golden and green that run almost to the top of the mountain .  Such a beautiful contrast not to mention the beautiful backdrop of the mountains in the far distance. To the north from where we have come our direct view is of reindeer grazing in the open field below and of Lake Constance stretched out for miles and miles. We remain as long as time will allow, trying to commit this  scenery to memory,  It is truly one of the most beautiful spots I have seen.  Down at the end of the tram, a short distance from the ferry we happily stumbled upon a traditional Swiss Accordion playing, floogenschlaging, dancing and singing celebration! Throw in an oompa or two and we knew we are in the homeland. Very fun. . We have another beverage in honor of our hosting country and of course we wish to help stimulate the local economy.  We clap and stomp and all in all enjoy this impromptu  party. Timing Is everything. Sometimes good sometimes not so good. We were lucky no doubt. We arrive back at the Hotel  Gaston Stift quite late. I think the best room we've had thus far given the view, the charm the space in our room and the breakfast. The reception was warm  and welcoming. Tomorrow we make our way to Basel. Via Zurich, and Lucerne.  Welkom to Switzerland.
